Wrexham Campus
The main campus in Wrexham offers a fantastic mix of teaching and lecture facilities, state-of-the-art technology and much more.
From our engineering facilities tailored to our course specialisms of aeronautics, performance cars, mechanics and electrics through to our dedicated centres to support our education courses; the Centre for the Child, Family and Society; and our creative arts courses, the Centre for the Creative Industries. Our Centre for the Creative Industries is also home to BBC Cymru Wales in North East Wales.
Our Regent Street Campus is home to our art and design courses. The campus has a traditional art school feel which embraces you from the moment you enter the building. It is a magnificent Victorian building, located near the town centre, which has been converted into studios.
There’s also plenty to keep sports fans happy, whatever your game we’ve got the facilities to help you make sport a major part of your Wrexham Glyndwr University experience.
From our fully equipped indoor sports hall and fitness centre, dance studio and high-quality pitches; there are plenty of opportunities to have fun and improve your health and fitness.
A hockey stadium plus a 1000sq m sports hall which meets national competition standards for a range of sports including badminton, basketball and volleyball and a purpose–built dance studio are all based on campus.
The university has over 70 lecture theatres, an art gallery and two libraries, one of which is a specialist library for humanities and social science subjects. There are also specialist facilities such as a recording studio, TV Studio, Chinese Medicine clinic and specialist Engineering and Computing facilities.
There are a number of entertainment venues on this campus from the William Aston Hall and Catrin Finch Centre which host a variety of famous names and local performers through to our student bar. Our on-site art gallery. Oriel Sycharth Gallery features rolling exhibitions from local and international artists.
On our Wrexham campus you will also find the main hub of our student support services, student accommodation, and our Students’ Union.
There’s a selection of food outlets across the sites, with plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants within easy walk of the campus. The university has recently had a overhaul of catering facilities which includes a Starbucks, Grumpy Mule and Costa Coffee Shop.
