Book online to receive an open day programme 2 weeks before the event. You won’t need to register when you arrive so you can head straight to wherever you are planning to go. Free parking is available on campus so there is no need to worry about transport.
The 5 year Veterinary Medicine and Surgery course is taught at the newly built School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. There are a range of teaching and clinical buildings which house specialist facilities along with surgery suites and anatomy laboratories. This school is based at the Sutton Bonington campus so you can travel directly to there on the open day. Staff and students will be ready and waiting at the entrance to help you make the most of your day. Talks, demonstrations and a tour of the campus will be held throughout the day so make sure you attend them.
A general presentation on life as a student at Sutton Bonington will give you some good advice on finance and living in Nottingham as well as studying there. You won’t need to visit the other university campus but representatives from veterinary science will be there if you decide to go. The university is also offering a free city bus tour of Nottingham which will show you the main attractions of the place that you may end up living in.
You are free to visit any halls of residence on the open day. All will be open for viewing and there are a large variety of catered and self-catered for you to look at. Some of the accommodations are based off campus but a free shuttle bus can take you if you wish to go there.
The University of Nottingham also holds mini open days which are a normal open day on a smaller scale. The next ones will be in October. If you receive an offer to study a course at Nottingham, you will be invited to a UCAS visit day where you will be able to spend more time in your chosen department.
