Art and Design facilities and workshops

DMU offers some of the finest facilities to support your studies. You will have access to an excellent range of fully equipped workshops, these include glass, ceramics, metal, plastics, wood, textiles, printmaking and paper, as well as a large print room with facilities for dyeing and printing processes, pattern cutting tables, tailored dummies, sewing workshops and dedicated CAD suites.

With the supported of our expert technical support staff, these workshops provide you with the opportunity to build, test & present your designs.

PACE Building

DMU offers some of the finest performance facilities in the Performance Arts Centre for Excellence (PACE) Building. It has two spacious dance studios and two large, fully equipped performance spaces.

The Kimberlin Library

The Kimberlin Library is open 24 hours a day during term time, so you can study when it suits you. The library gives you access to more than half a million publications and a wide range of DVDs as well as e-resources and thousands of electronic journals. There is also dedicated space for group and individual work, with workstations, power supplies for laptops, syndicate rooms with interactive whiteboards, DVD and rehearsal space to practice your presentations or work in privacy.
