Cambridge Regional College

Our Campus

Our campus has some of the best facilities of any Further Education college in the country, thanks to a multi-million development of our site next to Cambridge’s famous Science Park. We have purpose-built Art and Design studios, a magnificent £9million Motor Vehicle Centre and fantastic Hair and Beauty Salons run as commercial businesses.

CRC_overview 01Our students have access to facilities that often surpass those in industry, giving them the chance to develop their skills and study in an inspirational learning environment.

We have recently opened a £2.5 million purpose-built Construction Centre with nearly 1,000 square metres of modern workshop space along with classrooms and specialist skill development areas, and we provide specialist Construction Management and Environmental Sustainability training in well-equipped low-carbon centres of excellence.

Our new £3million Engineering Faculty was designed with input from employers and is furnished with the latest industry-standard equipment, including 3D printers, robotics, manufacturing workshops, specialist welding and fabrication areas, CADCAM, PLC technology, pneumatics and hydraulics. There’s also a materials testing laboratory, process instrumentation and control systems – and a £30,000 robotic arm!

CRC_overview 04Our college is right beside Cambridge’s renowned Science Park, on the outskirts of one of the most beautiful cities in the UK. A guided bus service runs directly from the campus into the city centre as well as the railway station, providing great access links. We run our own bus service and encourage students to come to college by bike, bus or train, but we also provide charged-for car parking for those who prefer to drive. The college is also very close to the A14 and the M11.

Cambridge has all the great shopping and leisure facilities you’d expect of a world-class city, with big-name and independent shops, museums, sports centres, pubs, restaurants, clubs and lots more to enjoy.
