Exeter Medical School Open Days

Study Medicine at Exeter University

You need to book online to reserve your place. Note that parking is very limited so the university advises that you use public transport where possible.

Dates aren’t yet available for the Medical School open day. This school used to be joined with Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry to form the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. It has recently changed to become a separate school and will be known as the University of Exeter Medical School.

The day is held across both the Streatham and St Luke’s campuses and a free shuttle bus will be waiting to take you between the two campuses. You will have the opportunity to find out more details about the two courses: the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) degree and the BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences degree.

Subject presentations will give you a taster of the course while you will also be given the chance to take part in a clinical skills demonstration. The information fair is a great place to ask staff and students any questions about medicine that you have. Drop into a session at the Life Sciences Resource Centre to get some real experience of a medicine degree.

At the normal open day for the University of Exeter, there will be general presentations on aspects of university life such as employability and accommodation. You can go on a tour of the campus and see several of the student residences. There will also be talks on medicine and other subjects as well as some sample lectures.

Can’t make the open day?

Campus tours run at the Streatham campus every weekday at 2pm and at the St Luke’s campus on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12 noon. You must book your space on these tours through the university site. They will be led by a student who will be able to tell you all about their university experiences.

Visit days are also held for offer holders. These days will allow you to look around the campus and accommodation and see the teaching facilities that you will use while studying at Exeter.
