The Show Room

Chichester _facilities 08The University of Chichester is nationally recognised as a provider of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses across dance, performance and visual art. As one of the smallest universities in the country we pride ourselves on providing a close-knit and friendly environment where students and artists can create and develop their practice.

As a venue within a university, research and experimentation is at the heart of what the ShowRoom does and we strive to support and develop a safe environment where creativity can flourish, ideas can be challenged and new work can be made.

The ShowRoom is a multi-purpose space, used for lectures and class work during the day, and as a 212 seat, well equipped, professional theatre at night. Find out more

Student sports

Chichester _facilities 02Twenty four BUCS teams compete at the highest levels of university sport. There is a bursary scheme in place to support elite individuals in BUCS representative trials/squads and BUCS individual competitions. This scheme is designed to complement the Sports Activity and Research Centre`s (SARC) Talented Sports Performer Bursary Scheme.

Complementing our BUCS programme are various recreational activities including a 6-aside soccer competition, badminton and an indoor cricket league, together with a wide range of traditional sports clubs and ‘new wave’ activities such as ultimate Frisbee and cheerleading. We also enjoy strong community links with local sports clubs including Chichester Rugby Club, Chichester Priory Park Hockey and Cricket Clubs and Chichester Centurions Hockey Club.
