The Department is host to a £35 million Pilot Plant facility which houses a variety of laboratory and commercial scale equipment used for teaching and research. Additionally there are a variety of study spaces and break out areas all with Wifi access. This is a central London location and so in additional to UCL, you also have access to the University of London Union facilities as well.
Living in London is an amazing experience, and despite perceptions, it is incredibly student friendly. Not everything needs to be expensive, as many of its museums and galleries are free. UCL Union run several student societies and sports clubs, and Wednesday afternoons are dedicated to pursuing extra-curricular activities. We believe in balancing your studies with personal improvement and London will let you do just that.

The Student Union Rights and Advice Centre acts for the well being of all students and is a one stop shop for information on fees, health and wellbeing.
