Creativity is part of life at DMU and the Faculty of Art, Design and Humanities brings our creative disciplines together.
Internationally acclaimed academics pass on skills and expertise in classes while producing award-winning work. Graduates go on to work for high-profile brands such as the BBC, Mothercare, Abercrombie & Fitch, Dyson, BMW, Next and Adidas and pursue careers as architects, performers, designers, writers, teachers and artists in a variety of industries as well as going on to further studies around the world.
It is an especially exciting time to join DMU as we are investing in cutting edge teaching and learning facilities for Art, Design and Humanities students, with the new Art and Design Centre which will be ready for students to move into in early 2016.
We bring together award-winning student work, world-leading research and the innovative thinking of the university’s many creative disciplines in the Festival of Creativity. As an acknowledged leader in creative education, our students are consistently recognised for the quality of their work while many of our academic staff are internationally recognised for their experience, knowledge and skill.
We showcase the creative talents of our students in the different shows and exhibitions that take place in Leicester, as well as in other leading UK venues.
