Facilities

Canterbury Campus

The University has excellent academic and social facilities including an award winning four floor library, arts and culture venues and various food courts and cafes.


 

Augustine House is our multi-million pound, award-winning library and student services centre just a few minutes’ walk from the main campus.

St George’s Centre is not only home to some 200+ students but also a bar, coffee lounge and the Canterbury Christ Church Students' Union (CCSU).


 

Canterbury Christ Church Sports Centre has plenty on offer including a multi-station fitness suite, a brand new indoor interactive cycling studio, eight-court sports hall, exercise studio and climbing wall. Academic facilities for sport and exercise science include a biomechanics lab, strength and conditioning area, a physiology lab and a brand new altitude chamber.

We have ambitious and exciting plans for the future with a £150 million campus development.The new creative arts building opening in 2018 houses specialist teaching facilities, including space for performance and music, design studios and the latest technology. 

A new centre for engineering and technology launches in 2020. This building will also be home to Kent and Medway’s first medical school which we are launching in partnership with the University of Kent.


 

Medway Campus

Our Medway Campus, along with the University of Kent and The University of Greenwich, is part of Universities at Medway. Our students have access to some great facilities.

The Drill Hall library – at 184 metres long, is thought to be the longest library in Europe and contains 2.7 miles of shelving

The Student Hub, a new, state of the art student centre with a modern bar, a flexible entertainment and social space with a great range of food, stages for live music and a huge screen for cinema showings and live sports.

The Simulation Suite which provides a realistic hospital setting for those studying a range of clinical skills and has been featured in a number of projects and TV programmes, including news reports with ITV and Sky News.
