UCAS Clearing Dates 2024

Sitting your A Level exams can be a stressful time and it can be even more stressful when you’re trying to apply to university. Revision, paperwork, and deadlines can get on top of you and make life seem really tough.

Results day can be equally stressful, especially if you don’t get the results you need to get into your first choice of university. If this happens, if you didn’t get any university offers, or you declined all of your university offers you’ll need to go through Clearing to get a university place.

Clearing has its own deadlines and course vacancies fill quickly, particularly for popular courses, so you’ll need to be prepared if you want to get into university. Spaces usually fill within the first week after results day and phoning each university until you get an offer if the key to being successful during Clearing.

Be organised, have a list of course vacancies and universities that you’re interested in, and keep a note of everyone you speak to regarding your application. You could get an answer straightaway or you might be contacted soon after with an offer or decline.

To make sure you know what’s going on and to help you get organised and keep on top of all the application deadlines we’ve put together a UCAS Clearing 2024 dates timeline:
